This is an old 35mm Kodachrome scan from my days at the University of Hawaii .I shot this portrait of my roommate somewhere around 1972. I think I had some beginners luck, as I think this is one of the best photos I've ever captured.

Turns out he spoke perfect English, as he had worked the cruise ships between California and Hawaii. We had a long and pleasant chat.

A Greek Gentleman
A very handsome man. Selling little trinkets on the sidewalk near a tourist site. Probably could have starred in a Francis Ford Coppola mafia movie, but the Greek economy seems to have had its effect on his life.
